Odd Terms and Definitions

We all should know what the term 'f-body' means (any firebird, trans am, or camaro) and if you dont, something is wrong.

I hope this thread can be used to post terms, along with what they mean, or suggesting a term you dont know, or that others may not be familiar with.

Starting off, what are "salad shooters" and what is a 'tranny tunnel'?

And what cars fall under the other GM chassis letters?

This type of thread would probably be better suited in the FAQ forum, as that is the place people should be looking to for Frequently Asked Questions and Information:

We have some information on common technical abbreviations (not just forum abbreviations):

salad shooters are rims. tranny tunnel is the hump in your floor with a transmission in it. and for future reference trans ams are firebirds. trans am was an option on the firebird like z28 camaro.

MPFI - Multi Port Fuel Injection - This was the type of manifold and fuel injection scheme used for V6's in the late 80's (87 and up I believe)
