Will a Mustang T5 or Tremec fit my car?
No. The bolt pattern, input shaft, output shaft, overall length are all different and the F-body T5 is rotated 18*.
The Tremec can be bought to fit the F-body. The only place I know to get the conversion kit is Fortes Parts Connection. This kit includes a Tremec 3550 or TKO, new input shaft, heavy-duty driveshaft yoke, adapter plate that matches the T5 bellhousing to the Tremec (this also makes the Tremec long enough), speedometer adapter, shifter and crossmember adapters. You will use the stock F-body clutch.
