18 Gallon Gas Tanks
Q: Which cars had 18 gallon gas tanks?
A: None of them. The 18 gallon tank is a rumor. All thirdgens have 15.5 gallon tanks.

Q: Why do some cars have 16.2 gal tanks and others have 15.5 gal tanks?
A: Really, they don't. Both cars have exactly the same physical tank. The difference is in the sending unit. Fuel injected cars have a fuel pump in the tank which takes up some of the "space"... hence why they are rated at 15.5 gal and carbureted cars are rated at 16.2 gal.

Thanks again Ron. I knew what the difference was but I didnt know how to say it.
Specially baffled, yes... there's currently a question as to whether some of the NON 1LE cars got the baffled tank, and which ones got the swinging pickup.
NONE of them had 18 gallon tanks. Sorry to burst that bubble
