RARE 1988 FIREBIRD FORMULA CONVERTIBLE #69 OF 104 BUILT

　
Up for sale is an extremely rare 1988 Pontiac Firebird Formula Convertible. This car was one of 104 1988 Firebird Convertibles ordered from GM by Pontiac Dealerships, problem was Pontiac did not manufacture a convertible 1988 Firebird, therefore Pontiac contracted with ASC conversions based in Southern California to convert 104 1988 Firebird Formula T-top cars into full convertible models to be sent to Pontiac dealerships. This particular car is #69 of the 104 converted by ASC.
This car was originally purchased in Southern California from Jack Head Pontaic GMC Trucks. I’m the second owner and purchased it in Northern Ca in 1990 where it has been garaged kept since. The car has extremely low, easy miles of 45,780 and is rarely driven and only driven on nice days. Car has only been driven by myself since I purchased it.
Body: Original Triple Black color combo. Car has had one show quality re-paint in the original black, laser straight with the exception of two minor flaws. Car has a factory ground effects kit and has never been in any accidents and has a clean car fax report. Absolutely NO rust.
Engine: Option (LB9) 5.0 TPI, (MXO) 700r4, (G80), 3:23 posi, (WS6) special suspension and (WS1) performance package. Engine runs great with only 45,780 original miles. Transmission shifts like new. All drive train is in excellent condition with no issues and no leaks.
Wheels and Tires: Polished factory wheels with good tires.
Interior: Factory black cloth interior is in overall excellent condition. There are a few minor flaws. There is a small wear spot on the driver’s front seat from entering and exiting the car. 4 way manual adjust drivers seat, fold down rear seat, power windows, door locks, remote trunk opener, cruise control, tilt column, remote driver mirror, courtesy light package. Also has the rally gauge and tach package.
Convertible Top: Top is in excellent condition with one small wear spot in the cloth located above the driver’s side window.
Glass: Factory glass, factory tinted in excellent condition. All windows operate as they should.
Stereo: Professionally installed quality alarm and stereo system with 10 disc CD changer located in the trunk. Stereo remote located in the center console. Stereo sounds excellent.
Recent work done: New radiator side tanks, new exhaust from the catalytic converter back. Air conditioning has been converted to R134 and the system completely upgraded with new compressor, clutch and accumulator and blows ice cold!
Overall this is an amazing car and a rare opportunity to own a true collectors car. For all you Pontiac collectors out there check this one out, they do not come up for sale often.
