i dont know what the stang is worth but i got a 89 formula ws6 305tbi auto t-top power locks windows and mirrors. Has lots of mods... coated hooker headers with life time warrenty never to rust hooker exhuast, tpi heads, high rise performer intake manifold, underdrive pullies, lt1 hotcam, subframe connectors, smog deleted, ac deleted has as delete box, keyless entry. very clean under hood, good interior, excellent body no dents or dings and only rust is on the battery tray. needs paint and 2 headlight motors and fiberglass wing becuase the old rubber wing is cracked. the car has 105,000 miles almost new tires struts and shocks they have about 10,000 miles on them. ill get a pic if interested im on 56k slow as dirt to upload. im located in east tn near va.

Re: mustang for firebird/trans am?

ok here are some pics its in my garage on wheel dollies in the back so i have room to work on my other cars. As you can tell the paint is shot it has black here and there to cover up chipped areas so it doesnt start to rust. the rear wing is in the floor behind the car i forgot to take a pic of it but i have it you can put it on the car if you dont get a fiberglass wing. if your still interested after these pics if your close enough we can meet somewhere and ill lead you to my house and let you hear it run look it over good ect... i forgot to mention one other thing wrong with the car the rubber transmission mount the little block between the trans and crossmember is broke when you hit the throttle hard it will allow the trans to lift up causing a poping sound its a 10 dollar part and i will fix it for you if you want the car. My irocs broke 5 years ago i thought the trans fell out of the car when it made the pop sound. scared the crap out of me when it first happened in the iroc when it did it in the formula i knew what it was. you can still drive the car no problem just cant gun it from the get go its fine once your out of first gear, but like i said ill fix it if you want it.

Re: mustang for firebird/trans am?

it use to be my buddies car he drove it almost everyday during the summers. I drive it during the summers to work and back almost all the time. The car runs like new and drives like new. It doesnt burn oil or leak anything. With the mods done the top end has all new gaskets. when it was stock it ran a 17.2 at bristol it runs a 15.5 now just 2 tenths slower than the 350 cars its not to slow but no where near fast. I dont drive it now becuase i live back in the country and the deer are crossing the roads a lot now. I hit one with the iroc i dont want to risk it with the bird to. If i still have it next spring ill probably drive it all the time unless gas prices sky rocket again. Im located near damascus va im only half a mile in tn. probably an hour or so away from you.

Re: mustang for firebird/trans am?

thats alright i know what you mean about the stick being more fun to drive. Thats why i made my iroc a 6-speed. I dont know if you thought about converting one to a stick or not but i have a 85 T/A im fixing up i got a lT1 going in it and im going to put a 6-speed in. Its a 5speed right now i could pull that trans this spring if you wanted to convert one. you can have the trans with the car.
