When I was in High school, I had one of these, and I was too young and stupid to know what I had, so I sold it... Shame on me!
Since then, I have owned newer Trans-Am's, Corvettes, BMW's and bla bla bla. All of them were faster, but I guess you never forger your first love.
Anyway, I scour the web now and then, hoping it'll pop up for sale, but after years and years of looking, I think she's gone!
Some years ago, I accepted that I'll have to settle for her twin sister, and every now and again, I find one for sale that I would love to have, but... Sellers don't respond, or it's no longer for sale, or it's actually an 86 with a front nose from a 92, or ...you get it.
The parts I won't bend on are: 91 or 92 year model, white, T-Tops, tuned port, with a WS6 or GTA package with original cross-lace wheels.
The parts I will bend on: Manual transmission (I'll survive with the auto), black cross-lace wheels (I can live with the gold), Gray interior (other colors will work).
I know she's out there, just waiting for me to drive her home, I just needed to ask the net for a little help.
I am in North Alabama, almost in Tennessee. I would say a days drive for the right car. Maybe more if the price is right. Do you have a hot lead?
Ah well since I'm in Ontario, my hot lead may be a bit more room temperature. There was a really nice white 91' ttop Trans Am not too far from me for about $5K Canadian. Automatic with grey cloth, not a GTA but had black GTA wheels.
