Hey all, been a long time since I've been on these forums (cant rememeber any of my old login info).. Had some 3rd and 4th gens 10-15 years ago.. Looking to get back into a 3rd gen to build a race car with (drag car)

With that being said, I am on the hunt for a really nice roller/shell/project. Hardtop cars to the front please. I am based in MI but I am willing to travel pretty much anywhere for the right car.

Absolute MUSTS:
NO RUST! NO RUST! NO RUST!!
No previous fab/custom work.. TBH I'm not looking to cut someone else's cage out of the car.
Nothing silly or trashy..

Would prefer:
HARDTOP!
Formula
No engine/trans..
Have most of the interior
Have matching front/rear bumper and trim..
Can be pushed/pulled onto a trailer..

Will consider:
T-tops..
Trans am/GTA
Gutted cars as long as all the stuff come with it.
Camaros (hard top only)
Running and driving examples of Firebirds or Trans Ams.. Although from a budget sense they have to be able to be parted out quickly, or are a screaming deal.

I feel like this a solid request. I am always open to see what is out there.

My budget is anywhere from $500 all the way to $5000..

I have a 88 Trans Am hardtop. I have owned the car for 25 years, i sanded down to bare metal and repainted 7 years ago, it is white with grey interior. It has a moser 9inch, Viking double adjustable rear shocks, AGX adjustable front struts, founders strut mounts, pan hard bar, Spohn torque arm. It’s a very clean car, been stored inside most of the time i have owned it, $5000.

Looks like its in pretty good shape. Does it come running and driving for $5K? I don't really have much use for most of the drivetrain.. Car is going to be receiving chromoly k-member with spindles, custom rear end with wishbone, built TH-400, and I already have my engine 90% ready to go.. $5K limit was for something I would be able to part out quickly and get down to a shell, or something very clean and able to drive.. Then I can just let my wife cruise it while I finish parts hoarding..

Since you do not need the rear end i can put the original rear in and sell the roller for 3500. The car also has all new weatherstripping, and fiberglass rear spoiler.

 

I have a solid clean 84 base firebird. Was a v6. Has non running motor I can pull that and transmission out if you want. I'd do 1500. 38358

The 56 is not for sale, it took me a long time to find a clean 56 olds but good eye!

I have an '87 Formy hardtop. No title, pretty straight, rust free, most interior is there.........actually it's a 130,000 mile running driving car but the motor and trans I'm using in another project and I'd like to keep the posi disc 9 bolt too, I have a plain jane rear from another bird I can swap in to keep it a roller. $700. In northern Arkansas.
