Finally Done! And with new Boze Wheels
Well, after 13 or so years, I've finally got my Firebird back on the road and close to done (they're never really done). The finishing touch was a new set of Boze Mesh wheels (17x8 and 17x10's). Yeah, I know there's a gap between the tire and fender. The Sportlines made my long-tube headers scrape so I replaced them. It's way more drivable now.
My first outing was to ThirdGenFest 2007, and I picked-up "Best Engine", "Best Firebird - Modified" and "Best of Show".
It was nice that all that work paid off. Hope you guys like it as well.

CONGRATS!! guess what my new background picture is.. lol
EDIT: btw, what happened to the regular 82-84 nose? IMO, it would look better with it.. all the sharp edges from the wing and cowl dont work to well with the formula nose.. but it still looks good

I just noticed that my hood was popped in that picture. It really doesn't fit that poorly! I've got to take some new pics without kids toys in the background.
BTW, I re-did my CarDomain site and added a bunch of new pics.

Funny you say that. I have a new black rubber upper radiator hose all ready to go on the car, but my brother keeps telling me how much he hates the one that's on there-- so I've left it on there to annoy him.The car was originally black with a gray vinyl interior and a 2.8

BEAUTIFUL car, i was thinking of going with a cowl and aero spoiler with no GFX, good to see it looks nice.
Two questions, what gauges are on the A-Pillar? I need to put three, but cant decide on the third. Ive narrowed it to oil temp and tranny temp, leaning towards another water temp for two locations on the block.
Secondly, why did you opt to go with a camaro console?

I agree. That is one SWEET looking firebird. So hoe much work was it do the the door handles flush?
Re: Finally Done! And with new Boze Wheels
your formula is one of my favorites on this board. you should get photobucket account so you can post a bunch more pics. i would love to see more pics of that car. if u do take more pics, i think u should temporarliy remove the front plate just so it looks better in the pics. awesome car man, i like the new wheels too.
EDIT: NEVER change the bumpers! dont listen to those fools!

love the color and rims.. But I don't care for the 93+ wing and 2" cowl hood.
( stock formula wing and hood would have been fine for me.)

Re: Finally Done! And with new Boze Wheels
(2) It's not a Camaro console. That's what 82-84 Firebird consoles looked like (except for the Megashifter and the cupholder). Remember, my car is really an '83, not a 91-92.
Bullydawg: the doorhandle install with pics is on my cardomain page here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/496327/4
rwdtech: I'm with you, I hate the front license plate. I didn't want to drill holes in my front bumper cover for the GM bracket, so I had one fabricated that mounts to the inner bumper and curves down underneath. The plate sits lower than normal. I like it better than stock, but the car looked way better without one at all.

I like it. Cool color. If I could only find a 91 front bumper I would be happy.

Re: Finally Done! And with new Boze Wheels
The color is Corvette Admiral blue & the rear tires are 275/40/17 Mickey Thompson drag radials.
What a shame that all these years I've been watching the A&D board to see the completion of other people's projects & as soon as mine is done, the board is changed and threads are moved to mini-boards that no one looks at. Oh well...

Very nice!! That is an awesome choice of color. You need to lower the rear end about an inch to get rid of the stinkbug stance, but other wise
