Door hinge repair kit Group Purchase

I've opened up two Group Purchases for the upper hinge repair kits I sell. The GP's will run two weeks, until June 9th. If you plan to repair your sagging doors in the near future, this is your opportunity to get the kits at a reduced price. Be sure to order under part number 200370-GP or 201370-GP to get the special GP pricing.

Are we talking the $212 set for all four? My hinges seem fine at 145K but the doors are coming off for the restoration anyway. Dear G0d, I would hate to finish the car and have the sag start a month later...

Anyone besides me find it humerous that the post lingered without any interest for nearly a full year before being brought back from the dead? Sure I'll open up the GP's on the hinge kits again. The GP's run until 6/4/06. I'll place the order for all the hinges on 6/5. Be sure to order under the GP numbers to get the special pricing.

Thought you were ignoring us. Thanks I/we appreciate it!

You wouldn't happen to be willing to have a GP on the Deluxe Door Hinge Repair Kit now would you?

The GP closes in roughly 2 weeks, and it takes a week for GP order to arrive here (assuming he has enough stock on hand to fill the GP). So you'll have yours about 3 weeks sooner than if you'd waited and ordered under the GP.

Thanks, Lon

Thats funny! I just ordered mine yesterday too. Oh well...

I guess the upside to this is that when I woke up and checked my mail today, I had a package from TDS and for that I say thank you Lon!

Now all I have to do is convince my wife that spending a beautiful day working on the car is not a waste

I find it odd that several members have posted an interest in my opening this GP for the hinge repair kits yet so far no one has ordered them. The Group Purchase closes on 6/4. To be included in the GP you need to order them online through the Group Purchases that are on my web site. You can add items such as the GM door spring tool or Pistol-Grip mini grease gun on the same order. All the items will ship together. If paying by credit card, your card won't be billed until it is ready to ship. I'd hate to have anyone miss out on this GP beacuse they mistakenly thought that posting their intentions to buy the kit on this thread meant they had placed an order for it. Only those that purchase the kits through the Group Purchase on my web site or mention it when placing an order by phone will be included in the GP.

Lon: No misunderstandings here. I knew I have to go to the site, but I think I'll be rebuilding all four hinges so the larger kit is what I'll need, GP or no. No sweat though, as it's worth the price regardless of GPs. Thanks for offering it for those who can use it

Is this still going on Lon?
I see you have the GP link on the website still.
I read we don't pay until ships, so how close to being shipped if I ordered?
Anybody else need these??

Okay Lon, thanks.
I've put my order in for (2) Upper Hinge Repair Kits (non-greasable).
How many orders are needed now?

D*mmit. Just when I figured I could stop spending money on my dang car I see this. And yes my doors sag. So If I read this right I should order two kits to repair both doors and maybe the lower hinge pins as well to fully restore the doors? Gah...

The upper hinge repair kit includes the lower hinge pins and bushings.

i try to connect to the site but its givin me a hard time.

Can someone post pics of the included parts for this, i am very interested.

I know the bottom there is a pin with 2 bushing, and the top i THINK is a big bracket type deal kind like a squared "C" i think.

Nobody likes a saggy door, scrapes paint, makes noise, etc.

Here's a pic off the site just for you.

Now go sign up ASAP.

so my top hinge will be fine, i just replace the bolts that hold it?

p.s. it looks like this setup is for one door, is this going to come with enough for both doors?

answer this and i will order.

We've reached our GP minimum as of today. Thank you all for your patience. I'm holding the Group Purchase open over the weekend for anyone else that is on the fence about ordering. The GP will be ordered Monday. All orders must be placed by Sunday to be included in the Group Purchase. Posting on this thread of your wish to be include in the GP doesn't get you the Group Purchase price. You have to call and mention the Group Purchase when ordering or order online under the Group Purchase category. Everone will be informed when their order has shipped.

Thanks, Lon

It wouldn't hurt. I had enough other repairs suck my money away before, but now we're starting the body disassembly on the Bird. I wouldn't mind rebuilding the hinges while they're off the car...
