Headliner Group Purchase

We have had several people asking about putting together another group purchase for headliners and headliner kits. A thread was started previously to gauge interest, but it seems just a handful of members are interested. We will be offering the GP anyway, but will be lowering the minimum order amount for the GP from 10 to 8.

Pricing Change
We would like to point out that starting October 1st, the headliner manufacturer is raising their pricing, which means the retail pricing will be going up again. If you will be needing a headliner sometime in the near future, now would be the best time to order.

What is included
The covered headliners, and headliner kits which include sail panels and sunvisors will be included. Pricing will be as follows:

Headliner only - $156
Headliner, sail panels, and sunvisors kit - $230

For details on the products, please visit our website at http://tpiparts.net/82_92_headliner

How this works
To order at this pricing, we will need 8 or more headliners orders to be placed, and paid for by midnight on September 29th. Orders will be placed with the manufacturer on September 30th. If we are unable to meet the 8 order minimum, we will be cancelling orders unless you would like to order at regular pricing (we will contact you).

If we do meet the 8 order minimum, you can expect your order to be shipping in 3-10 business days (doesn't include holidays or weekends). UPS would take a few days to deliver on top of that, depending on where you are in the country.

We will keep a list of member that have ordered here, so everyone knows how far we are from the 8 orders.

Please note that these are made to order, and are not returnable. It is important that you order the appropriate color, so we have free color samples that we can send you before you order. Simply contact us via private message or email with your name, address, and general color tone (red, grey, etc...) and we will promptly mail them out to you.

Shipping
Due to the large size, these ship via UPS Oversize II. Shipping is $60 within the 48 states. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside the 48 states.

Ordering
To place an order, you will need to enter a coupon code in the gift certificate/coupon field during checkout:

Use code GP14 if you are ordering just a headliner, or
use code GP20 if you are ordering a headliner kit.

Please note your thirdgen.org user name in the comments section during checkout so we can keep an updated list of buyers here in this thread.

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

Come on people. Our cars are notorious for the headliners falling down. Don't you find it annoying to be cruising along in your ride with the windows down and feeling that FLAPPING headliner hitting you in the back of the head? It's smacking you saying REPLACE ME!

From what I see the headliner kit has the abs headliner. Right? If so, then I am in for sure!

Yep.
"Headliner has an ABS plastic board, and is covered in foam backed cloth available in a variety of colors to match your interior."

Go through the checkout process to be put on the list.

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

I'm alittle late for this purchase but I believe we would have better luck getting more people to buy if the ABS headliner comes WITHOUT the fabric installed already.

To many issues with the visors, belts and dome light.

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

So what's the price break for a GP if enough people commit? Would we pay full price if not enough commit or do they give a break to people who commit to buy from them under 3Gen?

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

Well hopefuly the commitment would be enough to get a price relief! But again-- how 'bout it people--is there no one else who wants//needs a headliner?? GP should give enough relief that it would be affordable for EVERY ONE!!

I think i'm only one of two people who actually bought a headliner.
No price relief since everyone else backed out.

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

I'm in for sure as long as it comes uncovered. I would also like the sun visors also. All in black. Both for a t-top car.

I'm not interested in the Velcro sail panel-speaker covers. I've talked to a few guys who got them and they say that they're junk.

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

KITT1983- They have that color for both t-top and full headliner. The materials come in cloth or vinyl. The vinyl has those air holes in it. They have the ability to send out a small color sample. It may be a good idea to get a sample because the items true hue//color//tint//overall appearance for doeskin,charcoal,grey- seems to have a diferent look on my monitor. (Just my oppinion) But for a free sample why not be sure you get what you want!??

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

Hey Ladies & Gentlemen-- Seems that this is an area of interest every 2 weeks or something like that. B4 I jump into this, lets get a DEFINITE number of orders and breakdowns of coupe & t-top//covered & uncovered//kits etc. When we get lets say 10-15 dedicated people, I'll give them a call & see about re-lighting a Group Purchase. The thing I've noticed is companies NEED a minimum amt of orders to even be able to offer a break. Info from YOU-- Coupe or t-top // covered //uncovered //color for covered... REMEMBER : these are PLASTIC liners. I thought it would be a good idea to present them with the breakdown of the orders. MAYBE it could work-out for EVERYONE, MAYBE NOT- but options CAN be discussed. THIS IS JUST A FEELER!! Be SURE you CAN commit B4 listing. Thanx

Re: Headliner Group Purchase

I contacted the sponsor about this -- they ARE NOT interested in a group purchase because of previous lack of commitment follow thru. -HOWEVER- like ALL good sponsors, they are ready to stand behind the products they sell and will answer questions you may have. THANKS TPIPARTS! I for one will be ordering SOON!
