Notchback?

I just found a pic of an 88 GTA on e-bay--the rear seat headrests look like the ones that were specific to the notches.
Take a look!

Of course if this is a real notchback it's missing. But it's a real find if it's one and the owner doesn't know it!!

I just finished reading to the bottom of that page--the notchback option is AA8--this is a real notchback!!
"according to a fellow ebayer this car is a code AA8 and that means it was a notchback at one time and it is valueable but i can not confirm or denie this just thought i would mention it , there were only 324 made in 1988 according to this person "
of course the production # is wrong.

That GTA does indeed appear to be the real "AA8" thing. I just hope that the person who wins the auction can find an OEM decklid to put back on the car for originality's sake.

Those seats were used ONLY on the few Notchbacks that were made and 1,555 of them were used on the '89 Turbo Trans Ams. Other than that, you couldn't get them on any other F-Body. Mind you, that just pertained to the rears only. And of those 1,555 that included leather and cloth seats.
