how much is it worth?
A local family is selling an IROC-Z 350 1989 with 3 orginal miles on it.
Story goes like this, son bought car, son dies, car gets put in storage for some reason, family moved and forgot, a few years later someone finds their old storage and decides to sell everythign in it.
So how much could this car be worth?
I looked at it in person, its all orginal hoses and belts that look like they have been in a grage for 15 years.
they are asking 6000

IF that were true, and such a car really exists, it's worth a lot more than $6,000. I'd say more like $15,000-$20,000
There have been lots of stories like this one through the years, most of them involve a soldier who died in Vietnam and left a super-rare musclecar in his granny's barn. Usually the granny sells the car for a ridiculously low amount since she has no idea what it is. I'm sure there were some true stories like that in the seventies, but all those Vietnam era "cars-in-the-barn" are long gone, so I'm guessing people have started making up stories about newer cars so as to sound more believable.

Is it for sale? There's a dealer down in Manchester GA that has a 25th anniversary T/A on the showroom floor. If I remember correctly, it has fewer than 25 miles on it. They say its not for sale, but I imagine they'd sell it for the right amount.
I would hope that whoever 'found' there old storage has the title to the vehicle in their name. If you decide to buy it make sure you are buying it from the person listed on the title and not someone just selling a parked car they found!
If the car only has 3 miles on it how did they get it home and then to the storage area. My car had less than 3 miles on it off the carrier but I had to drive it home. The black 1986 IROC-Z twin to my car had over 10 miles on it off the carrier. I figured they drove that car at the factory as one of the off line test vehicles and then on to the carrier.

For anyone who actually cares, we have gotten Firebirds in this year with all sorts of different mileages on them...as low as 1 for a 3800 silver convertible to 38 for a 6 speed blue Formula we just got yesterday. Most cars come in with 3-4 miles on them. I have not a clue as to why this one Formula has 38 on it
The Firehawks we have taken in this year have consistently had between 12 and 14 on them, save for one oddball that had 4 that I sold yesterday. I believe SLP does their own dyno test before the car leaves SLP, hence the higher average mileage.
And as for the argument that was going on previously, cars ARE still coming off St Therese's lines for some time!!! I did a status inquiry on a white T/A coupe and 2 T/A convertibles I have on order, and their TPWs (target production week) are all the first and second weeks in August!!! Clearly, these 3 cars will be among the last off the line

If that car is legit and still for sale, I've got a check for over $6,000 ready and waiting. I'm 10000% serious. Please contact me if this isn't a fairy tale.
