Help me figure out what engine is in this car

There's an 86 Z28 for sale by me. I'm assuming its an 86 since its got the high mount stop light.

Anyway, the car is in a garage whenever I pass by so I can't see the VIN. Paint looks like it could be original. Not perfect, but it looks good. With that said, I've noticed there is no tag on the rear bumper indicating what engine it has. So I'm thinking LG4. Or could it be TPI? The L69 usually says "5.0 LITER HO" on the bumper right? If it were TPI would it say "TUNED PORT INJECTION"?

I'd like to know before I bust my butt trying to get there when the place is open.

Mikes86SC,

This is what you should see on a 1986 TPI equipped Z28 and which is what most people saw.

I wouldn't let an LG4 stop me if the car is nice.

Nice third gen cars are getting harder to find day by day.

The choices that you have are slim pickins unless you want to break the bank.
