1990 Firebird "Bandit" edition???
My dad has a friend at work that is selling a firebird. It is all white with gold wheels, and has a screaming chicken on the hood. It is a 305 V8 automatic. He said it was the "Bandit" edition. Is there such a thing? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

The real "Bandits" were produced from 76-81. Anything since then would be an aftermarket company like Choo Choo Customs. True 'Bandit' owners probably don't recognize these as real 'Bandits', just like the Olds 442 guys don't think the 80's version of the car deserves the name 442.

Yep, there was one of these cars in the local pick and pull here about 4 months ago, it was a complete nice car with good paint and was all there. Unfourtunatly, the TBI motor supposedly was shot and it ended up where it did, less than a week later is was ripped to pieces. There are some real morons who comb that yard. I took the dash plaque though, when I came back and saw it all torn apart. I think it was crushed about a month later.

-4- barrell -4- speed -2- door
I think it might have meet the meaning, but something was lost in the transition. (read: power and/or a clutch 4 speed?)

Actually, the 80's 442 didn't stand for that. It stood for 4 barrel, 4 speed, dual exhaust. All 80's 442's had a 4 barrel quadrajet carb, 4 speed 200-4R auto tranny and dual exhaust. Most people seem to think it stood for having a 442ci motor! Whatever.
