Transmission: T-5 (Non-WC)
Axle/Gears: Limited Slip 3.23's
There were a total of 52,457 L69s in 1984. I "believe" the auto tranny for the L69 wasn't introduced until 1985. Someone step in if this is incorrect.

It's my belief that all L69s in 83 and 84 were 5-speeds. Only in 85 did the auto appear in those cars. Again if this is incorrect, someone step in.

All 83 L69 cars (such as mine) were 5-speeds. There were 3 thousand some odd of them.

The L69/auto trans combo was introduced in 84. GM keeps no records of option combos, but in my personal experience, about 20% of all 84 L69 cars I've seen were 5-speeds. So, based on the L69 production total, probably somewhere around 10-12k of them were 5-speeds.

I don't know what I was thinking when I read your initial reply, James C. I somehow thought you said that the auto was the only option until 85. That is why I responded like I did. Thanks for the help, guys.
