Value of 25th Anniversary Camaro???
Value of 25th Anniversary Camaro???
I was wondering if the value of 25th Anniversary 3rd Gen's have risen??
I looked on kbb.com and they showed a retail price on my car of $5,300 with 132,000 miles????
How many 25th Anniversary editions were produced?? Also how many "RS" camaros came with the 305??
I was just wondering after noticing that the retail price on my car has gone up............

Thats weird, my rs used to be worth (in perfect shape) 3500 at 76000 miles (when i bought it. Its now worth 4200 in perfect shape with 80000. Guess the end of the f-bodies has helped those of us who own one.

Anybody know how many of these came with a V8??
Don't believe everything you see. The values of the cars on kbb.com and edmunds.com are bogus. The best way to see what your car is worth, is to check the auctions on ebay and see what others are selling them for on autotrader.com. Here's what kbb.com said my 87 IROC is worth.

OMG, lol! Those prices are rediculous! Scottmoyer is that your Camaro, cause if it is thats bull****. Best thing u can do is to get your car appraised, personally. I got mine appraised at a place called Classic Auto or something like.
Ok all these sites that give u "blue book" value i got from
$3,500 - $5,290
Then i got it appraised, and i got this now
$9,400 - $10,900
See the difference, now my insurance is at that much, if anything would happen to my car, now i have the proof and i would get top dollar for my car, plus if i ever sell it, which i doubt, i got proof again, and could sell it easier at that price range.
Your car has only 10,500 miles and only came to $4,185 high retail, yet my car which has 36,000 miles came to $5,290, wierd.
Anyways, your car with that many miles should easy be $8,000+
Get it appraised.

heh, I'm not complaining though
Here is what came up for my 1986 Z/28 on www.kbb.com
Private Party Value------- $3,015
I don't think I would have any problem selling the Z/28 at that price.
If I couldn't sell at that price, I might add as a bonus incentive to put the IROC-Z, TPI stickers back on.
Chet
PS I promise I won't take the sticker off the spring.

This is a pet peeve of mine, everybody undervaluing these cars when they're in good condition. I recently got mine wrecked, not my fault, and the insurance company isn't getting close to the value of the car. I wish we could get together and get some kind of registry going, to document what these cars really sell for.
The sad fact is that dealers use those NADA guides for value, not that i would sell to a dealership.......
Getting a private appraiser wouldn't be a bad idea.............GTATransAM, how much did you have to pay for their appraisal???

What's wrong with this picture?
Anywho, like it has been said before, it's what a buyer is willing to pay for it. Keep your ride, it will slowly, oh so slowly increase is value.

Excellent looking ride UK, I own a 1992 Z28 5.7L myself.
Tried to find heritage edition but no luck. In 1992 they made 5000+ Z28's and only 3030 with the 5.L L98 which are low numbers in itself, but I could not find out how many 5.7L with heritage package, but I imigine low number. Nice car keep it.

Car: currently thirdgenless!!!
Bought my '92 RS 2 yrs ago with 32k miles on it for $8500. It now has 64k miles on it and I would not let it go for less than what I paid. In fact, i'm not letting it go at all!!!!
I was wondering this because i was thinking about selling the RS for a Z28 simply for the fact of a higher value in the future....
After reading this i probally won't since it would cost too much and not yield any results.......

If anyone is thinking of keeping a late 3rd gen, your best bet is to buy a late (92) Z 28.These cars will always be sought after by 3rd gen fans, and will always be worth more money than any price guide. It took me over a year in the uk to find the car i wanted, but in the USA it is obviously a bit easier to get hold of one,and with more choice.I think the soft top models will always be the most expensive ones to buy.
