Still looking...

I still have found out NOTHING about the 1988 Firebird Pro/Am...does anyone have any idea where i can go to order GDFX? But ANY links to Pro/Am sites would be great! Or if you just happen to own a Pro/Am or know somehting about them, drop me a line! (for those of you who don't know...the Pro/Am is one of the few RARE appearance packages for the base Firebird...and i can't find a thing!) Thanks! Kurt

Type "pro am" into the keyword and hit enter -- guaranteed. Don't narrow it down or anything

ahhh...
it makes a big difference when you type it with a space instead of a slash...(i.e. pro am instead of Pro/Am) tahnks!

nope...it's still doesn' work 'cause it searches for "am" seperate from "pro" thus i get everything from "8 am" to "trans am" to "i am" to "pro intake". I'm tellin ya...they only made like 2,000 of these cars over several years...10 queries seemed much more reasonable than 7,000...but thanks anyway...so far you've been the only one to reply to any of my nine topics...

Try this. I did a search based on "choo-choo" the name of the company that created the Pro/Am Firebirds, Choo-Choo Customs or Chatanooga Customs out of Chatanooga TN.

https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...light=choochoo

I know very little else. Sorry.

Good Luck!

It's nothing more than an aftermarket appearance package like the Banditt II. Same company too.....

Here's what i got so far:

Well, i've been able to find out that the Pro/Am is an appearance package involving Pro/Am rims, GDFX, Scoop & lettering. They were made by Choo-Choo Customs in Chatanooga Tennessee. In '87 '88 and '89 they made 500 cars each year and gave them a numbered plaque (which i have yet to locate on my car.) Supposedly, a company called LA West took what was left of C-C- customs when they went out of business in like 96??? That's all i got. Thanks a bunch for your help. I haven't heard back from LA west yet (i sent them an email yesterday,) but i'm hoping that i may be able to order parts from them. Keep the Pro/Am alive!!!! Kurt

Did you search "proam" ? I'm not sure if I had a space or not when I searched
