What years HVAC control heads are all the same and what type of models were they put in? I wanted to put a different style in because mine doesnt have much backlighting at all and its starting to cause a vacum leak so it needs to be replaced. I want something with more lighting since I cant read anything on mine except the top right hand corner.

 

anyone? I really need to replace mine and I want a different looking one and one that has alot more backlighting.

 

Hry im not EXACTLY sure what your asking for but the head units in your console were the same .. like black and white from 82-84 and werent lit as much as the 85 -92 version which was to me seemed to be lit better and had some color. Also pull it and replace your bulbs that might brighten things up cause mine lights nice

 

my question is will any of them fit my car lets say I get one from a 92 firebird will it fit I just want to know what all ones are the same.

 

Im pretty sure the 82-84 and the 85-up are interchangeable the only thing is like the 91 92 radio clips were different so the HVAC might be too but i looked at my friends 84 birds controls and my 85 birds controls and they looked the same.. didnt try to change em but they looked like they could be swapped
