what exactly was the "g92" rpo?....i ran it here on the rpo decoder and all it says it "performance rear axle ratio"....i thought the 3.42 was a performance ratio....i have the gu6 and g80 which is the 3.42 and the limited slip but there isnt a g92..and ive seen comparisions between the l98's agaisnt the 305 5 speed g92's....but i dont have the g92 and i run with the 350's

Dual catalytic converters was also part of the G92 I believe.

 

i have the dual cats aswell...4 wheel discs....i have a 91 gta

 

305 tpi 5 speeds can keep up with the 350 tpi autos, but the 350 still wins....

n10 - dual cat
l98 - 350 tpi
lb9 - 305 tpi
g92 - performance axle you have a 3.42 posi rear end

What year G92 are you talking about? On Firebirds R6P replaced G92 in 1991 and R6P included all of the things that G92 used too. G92 gave you N10, J65, and KC4. R6P gave you G92, N10, J65, and KC4.

 

yeah, g-92 did come with twin convertors and also included engine oil cooler and if you didn't order air conditioning the g-92 rpo triggered the 1le pkg . on 305 5spd cars with the g-92 pkg the horse power was increased to 230 due to the twin convertors and a differt camshaft profile , gu-6 & g-80 were part of the package but in early 91 you could get a credit if you didn't orderrpo j65 (4 wheel disc brakes) . my car is one of the ones made with out j65 but has every other part of the pkg. also one last thing theres a note that says you could not order t-tops with the g-92 pkg so if anyone is looking to buy a third gen remember its its pretty easy to change out interior parts , so if the rpo codes show g-92 and the car has t-tops be wary!!! later.

92GTA is correct. They played with the RPO's a little and some included other things such as G92. My B4C RPO triggers G92 as well.

 

i would love to get my hands on a b4c....i saw one on ebay last year...i dont remember what it sold for but it was a beautiful car
