It's sad when people generalize. Like someone has a car for a long time and they figure all other cars are made the same way. Nothing against madmax, but he's just too used to his later thirdgens and isn't familiar with early thirdgen's or S/E's. For that matter, 98% of people out there don't know S/E's even existed. and you're right, a V6 WS6 S/E is perfectly valid. I'm really lucky I found mine. I consider it a very rare and desirable (to me) combo.

Really? I dont even know what to say to a comment like that. I think I'l just ignore it. Actually, I wont.
Well, I guess the other resident expert says it was available and I'm mistaken. I tried to be as through with my list as I could, and asked for documentation to backup any errors or mistakes, but instead it came as an insult. I'll remember that.
I dont see anything in my parts book that says there was a different spring used with the WS6, which would make a V6 car look a bit funny with it. Maybe its a mistake on their part (would be nothing new) but I'm not seeing it in what I have.

If you're referring to me, I didn't insult anyone. I was stating a fact: the vast majority of thirdgen enthusiasts are familiar with the TPI years (85-92) and all the other motors available those years, but hardly anyone knows anything about 82-84. I don't consider myself an expert by a longshot. I have nobody to impress here. Or anywhere else. I just want to spread trustworthy info whenever I can.
If anything I find this quote to be an insult:
which is a totally baseless opinion you decided to state as a fact, and is a direct result of your knowing plenty about 85-92 and nothing about 82-84. It sounds like you're totally sure of what you're talking about, yet you're just going based on instinct.. "what.. V6 WS6? no way!". Stranger things have happened, and this is a totally legitimate factory combo. Kill the messenger if you will, but I'm calling it as I see it.

Thats totally your perogative to do as you please, but you did in fact use my name and direct it at me. And you have no clue what I know alot about and what I dont. I can tell you that your generalized assumption of me is exactly what you say mine about the V6 WS6's is, baseless and wrong.
Feelin kinda like the guy on the right here...
Oh well.

yeah well I think you can agree that it's not anyone's "prerogative" to state their inaccurate opinion and make it sound like a factual statement. You being a moderator, you appear to have more authority than us regular folk, and when you make a statement that sounds trustworthy, a newbie will trust you, even though you could be completely uninformed and wrong, like in this case. It's all good,
