Road Ralley Navigator option?

I was looking through my 1986 Firebird sevice manual, and saw a brief incomplete section about a Road Ralley Navigator option that was possibly offered. I am curious if anyone has one of these units, how rare they are, RPO code, what year(s) this unit was offered, if it only came with digital dash cars, etc... The wiring schematic is shown in the manual, but there wasn't much text information about what the unit actually did. The manual said text to follow. I am also wondering if these actually made it into the cars or if it was killed off due to lack of interest or cost. If anyone knows about this or has pics etc. let me know. Thanks
