i found out that it did start in 1990 all gtas had dual but it was single cat in 1989.o well what the solution?

Dual cats did indeed start in 1989, but there were some cars produced without them. Perhaps early cars got the single cat, and the later cars got the duals.
I have a 1989 borchure that shows the dual cat setup. I used to own a 1989 Formula 350 and it had dual cats. And I do recall an early 1989 Formula 350 that DID NOT have dual cats.

PS. Check your RPO tag. IF it ain't there, it did not come with it.

i had a 1988 formula 350 and it had dual cats but this car doesnt so i guess some did and some did not.i wish mine had it though.hey i have a ? i have a 2 1/2" intermediate pipe and a flowmaster muffler what do i need to put a 3" exhaust on mine?can i put a 3" intermidiate pipe on and leave the rest alone?
