anyone heard of this company doing these conversions? If so any more info? Thought it was interesting, however, I don't particularly like the way the top is folded in the back...

enjoy the pic...

Yeah, I've got an 84' 'vertible, two seater...All I know about it is that the conversion was done by AutoForm in Elkhart, IN...

Actually, if any of you know anything about AutoForm or more
about the two seater conversion, I'd love to hear it...

Bill, you've got mail! Let me know when you grab them so I can take them offline (running low on space)

Welcome to the boards JCherwien,

I would like to see more pictures of your firebird if you have some. I hope you find out more info on your bird here. There are a lot of guys that are very knowledgable with these things.

How long have you had the Convertible? Are you from Indiana? Later. bill

Thanks!
I'll have to go take some more pictures. I was driving the red one until about a month ago (The red one was my winter bird) but while I was vacationing my brother drove it w/o oil for about 3 days, so I had to junk it...Kind of stinks, but it means that I've got the convertible out of storage for a while.

I've had the convertible since July, and I'm from Minnesota...They guy I bought it from is from Indiana though...

Do you know if PHS would have any documentation on something like a conversion to convertible? According to the guy I bought it from he picked it up from the dealer that way...

Thanks!

I saw a Z in a junk yard a long time ago that had that same convertible package. I didn't like the looks of the hinges for the rear "trunk". Looks like a pretty interesting car. I would like to get a better look at one sometime if I ever get the chance.

How is your top? Im sure it would be hard to find replacement parts for it.

Thanks for posting the pics!

Hi JCherwien!
I have a brochure of the 1984 Autoform Trans Am! It's a 6 page foldout! If you want, I can get it colorcopied at Kinkos, and send it out to you!
All I would want, is to be repaid for what it would cost to make copies, and for the postage. I think that the copies are about $1.09, plus tax, and the shipping would be $3.85 if you want it priority mailed to you.
Email me at:
WarbirdTA@hotmail.com
if you do. I have sent some out to three other people who have cars like you! I do not want to get rid of my only copy.

Let me know,

George
