My biggest worry was overstating the condition of the car; but I believe I went the other direction and understated the car. Anyone with horror stories about selling/buying on e-bay regarding explaining condition of your car?

The condition of the interior was understated on my car. The outside however was not done justice. I need NO bodywork whatsoever. I don't need paint anytime soon either.

I would be very specific and list in detail every little thing that is wrong with the car. Also you must list at least as much or more describing what is right about it !

I kinda chuckle to myself when I read a listing and they shove the "Your bid is a legal and binding contract" in there.

It's only binding if the elements of the contract are legal !

Lets say some bozo lists a POS inoperable T/A as a "drivable car".

You win the bid. You go to pick up the car and it has flat tires and no battery. Are you obligated to buy it ? No ! You can walk away or do like I did and negotiate a lower price.

Misrepresentation of goods on Ebay or anywhere else is a big no no and borders on fraud. If you offer to sell something that is not as described your setting yourself up.

Be honest, take a ton of pics and leave no doubt in the bidders mind.

Thanks Don; I agree you have to be honest about it. Good point on putting equal verbiage on what's good about the car. Believe this is where I fell short with my ad.

If it doesn't sell (and I'm NOT trying to make a bunch of money on it), I'll start working on it more. I've already fixed an oil leak that I initially thought was a rear main seal; turned out to be the oil sending unit was leaking. Car just needs some attention.
