ASC stamp

American Sunroof, Automotive Specialty Corp, etc.
There was a post asking about a replacement tag.
I took some shots of mine, however, still a bit blurry...
Here's one that's not too bad for reference. Even though my car was a former theft, the plaque remained, thankfully!

Bill,

What year is your car? Mine is an '87 and the sticker is on the driver's door.

Yeah I'm wondering why the sticker isn't on the door itself.

I was the one asking about a replacement tag... thanks everyone for their pictures, I was able to "reproduce" the sticker
I think it came out pretty good, I'll post pictures later. If anyone needs a replacement I would be willing to email you the sticker file.

Hmm, so where is that sticker supposed to be located on an '88... As far as I know at the same location as in Bills car.
I think the different sticker locations might have to do something with where the car was converted at.

Willie, were was your car converted ? Livonia ? Maybe they stuck it on the driver's door and the ASC guys in City of Industry did differently ?

Mine is one of the 50 1989 with a 350 L98 with dual catalytic exhaust and 140 MPH speedo.
I bought mine for $8600 several years back in MPLS, MN.
I have no garage, so I fight mother nature and it's something of an uphill battle you can imagine. I didn't know anything about ASC, but tried to get info when dealing with my 1984 Eldorado sunroof leaks prior to the Firebird. The tag is in the driver side door jam, however, just not the door itself

Yes. I was talked up to $8600 as I offered $8000
hehe

The seller was female and her daughters drove it to school, IIRC
It had 44K too!
I now have about 130K on it, but it is having engine problems that still require sorting out. I find it odd for a GM car of newer vintage, but as the joke goes.... General Malfunction

The car was originally listed to sell at $11,000 or so!

I'm still curious on this subject...do any other ASC tags for official converts look different then mine. What was odd about the price I mentioned? You have me curious, what can I say?

I just got a 1.3 mp digital camera, so it's better then the one I used on those shots, but it's still budget

I'd like to see more pics of these... if there are 50 or more, some more pics from owners of their cars!
Don't know if this is the right topic forum, but I love seeing the visual evidence
