Unfortunatly, no one will ever know that. GM did not keep track of exact option breakdowns. However we do know that only approx. 30% of 82 S/E's had the LG4.

the packet will not help you find out the numbers,

you wont find them out unless someone somewhere in the world has such numbers from GM that didnt get tossed, or even got kept track of in the first place and plans on publishing them into a red or similar book for these cars specifically,

good luck though
GM didnt keep hardly any info at all

My understanding is Pontiac has all of the information hidden away on a MicroFiche but no one has ever taken the time to go through all of it, Apparently there is talk about putting it on CD, so they can search it and all, but again, nada...

I asked for a copy of the CD when they got it done and he was like NO WAY they would release all the information contianed therein to the public...

That was the info I got from a Pontiac person who worked for the Historical services who was at the Trans Am nats in 2002.

83firebirdS/E hey do you have a sheet like that for 82 T/A's ?

from what i have researched i am under the impression that the T/A's got everything the S/E's gbot plus a few other things,

if so then howcome my 82 T/a does not have tach dash and a couple other of those items listed on the SA/E sheet you posted above ?

and what is the tail stop lights spl option exactly ?

and apparently base models didnt get the black body side molding pieces ?? i thought all third gens got those impact strip pieces down the body sides

no ?

thanks

I would imagine, like many other things, the dash could be deleted or downgraded to a standard dash on an S/E. Its like the GTA, it was standard with a 350, but many people opted to put in a 305, for either insurance reasons, fuel economy, the 5 speed option, or whatever. So I would not bank on something being "standard" yet your car not having it. You really have to get into the RPO's to know what your car is...

I think the S/E may have had a different VIN too if I remember right, but I am known to be wrong.

okfoz, You are correct, the SE will have a different Vin, the fifth digit of the Vin # will be an X.

W= TransAm/GTA
S= Firebird/ Formula
X= Firebird SE
