is my car a regular firebird or formula.

okay, i'm really stumped on this because i think the person who i bought the car from may have modified it big time.

okay, it has the
-"performance suspension" badge on the passenger side.
-it has a LG4 v8.
-1986
-had black and white stripes around the bumper
-t-tops
-no gfx
-regular tailights, not trans am grids.
-hood with the vents

does anybody know? thanks.

A lot of add ons, and who knows. May be just a standard Firebird.

For the record of recording everything... [humor];
It's also the year S-VHS; Super VHS came out along with Dolby Pro-Logic surround.

I seem to recall a second gen Formula waaaayyy back there

For 86, there was the Firebird, Firebird SE, and the T/A. You don't have a T/A, since you don't have gfx. You don't have an SE because you have the base model taillights... base firebird.

I concurr... Base firebird, as with what everyone stated above.

As for the "Performance Suspension" decal on the right side of the dash :$5 from a salvageyard with panel. I guess it might be possible that it had the mid-level suspension... check your rpo codes in the glovebox.

What you list as Formula, is in reality Firebird S/E
