87 camaro vert question

I was looking to find some production numbers for an 87 model car. i am looking at an 87 vert with an LB9, G92, leather, and a five speed. I know its sorta rare, but i wanna see just how rare it is?

Are we to assume that you're referring to an IROC-Z? There are no specific numbers listed for the IROC-Z. There were 744 convertible Z28's in 87. The majority of them were IROC-Zs. There were also 263 Sport Coupe convertibles in 87. With what options, nobody knows.

It's got to be pretty low production. So if the price isn't out of sight, or the car isn't completely trashed. I'd buy it if I were you.

sorry, I assumed that you would realize it was an IROC-Z based on that it had an LB9 (not trying to be a smartass there)

it has a lot of miles on it, but its a really clean california car.
I can get it for 6 grand but i have to either pay to ship it, or drive halfway across the country to pick it up.

i was just figuring that since it was a 20th anniversery car (meaning vert) and it was a five speed with leather and 9 bolt/disk rear end that it was gonna be in the more rare of the anniversary cars. yes I know there is no way to know exact, but with this combo its gotta be somewhat rare

Make sure there is a 3 in the VIN to designate that it's a factory convertible and not an after sale convertible. The same company produced them both, but there will be a map pocket on the dash in front of the passenger seat specifying 20th anniversary.

I would expect to pay around $600 to $900 for shipping. I shipped a 69 Z28 from Sacremento to Minneapolis for $950 a few years back. My dad was quoted $800 a car from Minneapolis to Tucson this past summer. It all depends on the car, the season and the distance.

There is a company they advertise on ebay on the homepage of ebay motors. there is a link under service's.They also list a phone # it is 1-866-das-ebay . the name of the company is dependable auto service. They have a link on their page ,where if you know the zip code the car is comming from, you can get a cost on the shipping.I dont have a clue to what they might charge,i spend alot of time on ebay in the ebay motors section and have seen the link.Just trying to be of some help.Good luck in getting the car shipped to you.

vert...

No, it isn't an 87 IROC vert...I already have an 88 IROC vert....

JUST found an '88 Sport Convertible....excellent shape body ...needs a tune up, air dam, and some exhaust work and a few other minor things

almost sounds like it's running W/O exhaust.

air blows cold (important here in texas ya see)

Checking on the stats...only 1859 of them built that year....this one has 77k original miles.....

Paying 4800 for it.....

whadda y'all think? good deal?
