need answer about a 87 camaro rs

i am looking at buying an 87 camaro rs it was originally an american car but it has been a canadian car for 3 years were there any differences i should look for?

basically is it all the same thing just made in the states?

What sort of things are you thinking of.. As far as I know the only difference was some of the guages are different. I do not think there is really any difference to it.. Escpecially if it has been imported to Canada three years ago.. it would have gone through the instections.. I would make sure (if you have not done so) is Get a "Lein" check done on it. I think thats spelled right. Just to make sure there is no money owing on it anywhere.

yeah i was just wondering if it was mostly the same except the gauges and as far as a lein check goes all done thanks for the reply though

If it's an 87 then it's an SC, not an RS, unless it came from California where they had a limited run of RS badged cars. For the rest of the U.S. the RS didn't make it's apprearance until 89.

I've read that Canadian cars carried Daytime running lights as standard equipment.

As of 1990 all new cars brought into Canada required daytime Running lights.

Used cars: only cars of 1990 vintage or newer require daytime running lights when brought into Canada.

Local emissions requirements apply -- In BC's lower mainland/FraserValley we have AirCare... Cars newer than 25 years (i think) are required to be tested.
