Question about Bose Systems
With a stock Bose system, where each speaker has it's own amp. does that mean the singnal from the deck is a Pre-amp out.. which could mean, you could just hook up a modern 4+ channel amp to it on the RCA level inputs with no problerms???

Maybe...
When I put a Kenwood amp on my Bose system from my 90 Riv I had to go post speaker amplifier, I just tied into the wires from the amp to the speaker...
There was not enough power from my reciever to get a strong signal... Each year and car is different tho...
I have a whole pile of BOSE stuff in the back room, I got some from Cadillacs and some from Buicks, and to be honest it was a hunt and peck to find what would work or cross over to my current system when one of my amplifiers went bad...
BTW I hear MONSOON systems are the same way.

so the output from the Bose head unit was wired to the high level inputs on the amp? with todays amp couldn't it be wired to the RCA's since the head unit doesn't directly power speakers.

Coud try to take the outputs from the head unit and plug it into the RCA's on an amp, but it did not work on my 90 Riv... had to go post BOSE AMP on speakers to my subwoofer amp to work...
