What is a notchback GTA worth?

I've got the chance to pick up a notchback GTA project car. The car has about 70,000 miles on it but needs some work. The car is fully loaded including a digital dash and C&C T-tops. I'm trying to figure out what this car would be worth finished. I would have the car repainted and it already has a spotless gray cloth interior so it would be a really nice car when it's done. I'm just curious as to what people think it would be worth when completed. I've never been a fan of the notchbacks so I've never paid much attention to what they sell for. Also, with only 625 made, it's not like you see them for sale all the time.

Wish I could give more exact info, but they don't seem to be bringing a whole lot more than the next F-body, atleast the ones I've seen for sale that pop up once in a while. What type of work does it need? I take it a paint job is one thing, since you mentioned a repaint. What else does it need? And it's in IL? Hmm, that's right next door.

I actually own 3 of these Notchbacks, originals.

Denny,
If you part it out, contact Hawk, I imagine he might be interested in copying the hatch part...

Well Denny I hope you dont part it out! If ya do end up fixing it up and selling it that would be really cool to see it cruising around the Chitown area.

Geez, nobody seems to have any faith in me. I guess everybody just assumes I tear everything apart. Sure, I part out the majority of the cars I pick up but I try to save the special cars. Besides, I just parted out a factory notchback in December. I don't think I could part out two of them in two month's time. I'm picking up the car this weekend. I'm definitely going to start fixing it right away. After I get a little work done to it I'll reassess the car and see if it's worth completing, if not, I'll part it out. However, I'm pretty sure it will be. I'm hoping to have it finished in time for my party (Third Gen Fest '04). That would give me two really special cars for sale in the spring. I'll have my 30,000 mile Formula 350 along with the notchback for sale.

I'm glad to hear you're not parting it out. Even though they don't really have much special value right now, they are 'special'. Even though you plan to sell it, who knows what they will become later down the road. Of course that's not why I have mine. I just like them.

Of course the more people who part out or junk a notchback, the more 'rare' mine become

Good luck.
