RPO D88 Question
According to this site RPO D88 is the : DECAL, STRIPE, SPORT
But in my Shop manual it says Stripe, Hood and Deck Lid
Whats up with the difference.. and what is the option really?
Thanks
Oh, also I noticed N10 states Exhaust System, Dual
Does this mean true dual exhaust?

N10 is not true dual exhaust. No thirdgen ever came with that. True duals require custom fab work.
N10 is the dual cat option. Basically each manifold had its own cat. The manifolds would go to there respective cat then after the cat they merged into a single pipe.

According to my GM RPO code book.
D88=Decal Stripe, Sport
N10=Exhaust System, Dual
I also checked my service manual and it listed the D88 as Stripe, Hood and Deck Lid. This is basically the same as what the site and my code book says, the service manual just spelled it out in a little more detail.

I am not exactly sure what they look like so I will probably be wrong here. I believe that it is the two stripes that run down the hood through the louvers and then down the deck lid.

ya, thats what we where trying to figure out.. I think it might be a typo in the manuals or somthing.. the only stripe I can think of would be the pin stripe that is usually found just above the ground effects..

RPO D88 specifies the lower body striping found on 1986 - 1987 Sport Coupes, all Berlinettas, all 1982 - 1987 Z28's, and all IROC-Z's (except with RPO DX3 -- Decal & Stripe Delete). D88 does NOT specify the type or color of the striping.
