There is a nice 87 LT at my school with the center caps you are referring to. unfortunetly I dont think the owner would be very happy if I picked them up for you

It looks suprisingly clean. It is silver, and looks all original.

I knew LT's were uncommon, but I did not know there were only...Edited, so as not to cause more confusion. Thanks Willie.

Wait a minute...I just looked at your profile, do you go to RVCC?

Somerset County.

I was just wondering if you went to my school. I saw 87 LT and northern NJ and thought..."hmmm". Oh well I guess not.

Sorry I can't help with your request. Do you need the caps for the base LT hubcaps or the optional silver aluminum wheels?

I need to set one record straight (again because this info has been posted before at least twice) on production numbers. The "official" production number you state, 749 is actually 794. That being said, it is also incorrect. Chevrolet records for options in 1987 are grossly in error. There were 8,557 Sport Coupes with the LT option produced (coupes & convertibles). For specifics on how I arrived at this number, to go:

Scroll down a bit and you'll see my post.

Welcome to the site. It's nice to see another LT owner. Here is a picture of mine. Currently my LT badging is not on the car. I took them off a few years ago when I had the car painted and they never made it back on. But she is an LT, option code B4E if you are curious. The engine you see is not stock however. That's a 92 Z28 LB9 long block with a cobbled together TPI setup made up of various mixed and matched pieces.

I think these things will be worth something some day
I don't know though
Yeah those caps are a real pain in the butt to find, I saw some at a swap meet once, I should have bought them!

I know what they look like. Thanks though. I have two on the rear tires. I have found the emblems for the caps, but not the caps themselves. I hate the way the rims look without caps. I guess i will try to save money and buy some Cragers.

They are plain round, with a high gloss finish. They say Camaro on a black background in the middle

Hmm, I have some black 3rd gen centercaps that have a aluminum emblem in the middle that says CAMARO... and I believe I have ones that look like those only that say IROC in the middle and are silver caps.

I have three of these black ones:

The ones i am looking for are shinny silver. They don't look the black ones you posted. They are smooth all around. I have never seen them on any other Camaro, only the LT's. Thanks for the help.
