Hey Guys,
So once again I'm workin on rebuilding the convertible, and had another question...The passenger's headligh assembly took the bulk of the blow when I crashed, but the motor works ok still...

I know the earlier ones have the 3 wire motor instead of the 2 in the later models, but other than that difference are there any others?

Like, if I bought a newer headligh assembly could I just take the motor off the damaged assemby and put it on a newer one?

I think you may be alright up to '90, but I wouldn't swear to it. If I get a chance later I'll take a look in ye olde parts book and see if the parts numbers match up if no one else answer by then.

You should be good up til '90. I've used '86 assemblies in my '85.

 

ive got a pair of 84 headlight assemblies in my garage if you need em, shoot me an offer. the motors are junk though
