just wanted to share my restoration progress with TGO, heres my 85 iroc-z, 90% done... just need a few more things taken out: engine, steering column wire, tank emptied and door guts taken out... ( i messed up and rolled the windows down & unhooked the power and harnessess..)

 

heres more: how do i get this cable off the steering column or out of the firewall so i take out sterring and stuff???

 

and this servo brkt is killing me! i tried wd-40 3 times and still cant get these 2 big bolts out... the wd-40 worked on everything else.... help please...

 

anyone in the pittsburgh, pa area wanna make some extra cash and help me remove this 350 and harness????

can anyone tell how to roll my windows bk up so i can remove all the internal window parts???? also i need to reach the handles... thanks...

 

You should just be able to hook up a car battery to the motors. Not sure which pin is pos or negative, but you will figure it out. Just connect the battery ground to one wire and the positive to the other. If it doesn't go the way you want switch em around.

Either that or ground the battery to the frame of the door and touch one pin for up and the other for down...I can't remember but I don't think it will really hurt anyting if you do it the wrong way.

 

are you removing the bolt from the underside? it looks like your wrenching on the top. those are welded in and the bolt goes through from underneath. put your head under the pan you will see.
