iroc-z emblems why doesnt gm produce them
if chevrolet still has rights to iroc-z trademark why arent they still producing emblems, stickers/ decals. its bad enough that pretty much all 3rd gen bodys need a bad paint job they make it more difficult since when you get a paint job they dont produce emblems, pin striping, and decals
why?
or why dont they atleast release the rights so that a company can make reporduction especially silver iroc-z rocker emblems, and such

Most of the decals and stripes are available by the aftermarket with GM certification now. Try Decal King out of Canada for the good stuff with ScotchCal vinyl. Emblems are a different story, get lucky on Ebay or pay some big bucks at Year One, etc. if you can find what you want.

i dont think GM has the rights to IROC anymore. in 90 they lost it to dodge. i could be wrong but i kno the iroc model ended in mid 90 due to the loss of the iroc trademark.

no they got rights again infact they were running trans ams now even in 04 05
and they should have rights to the name anyway to produce parts if they can release rights to a sublet company to make iroc-z door decalst han they can release the rights to make badges
GM doesn't own the rights to the IROC name. Pontiac does. With that, Chevrolet can't use it. Regardless, the IROC-Z name does belong to Chevrolet, but without the IROC license, there's no need for IROC-Z today. All manufacturers are mandated to maintain inventory for 7 years from the final manufacture date. These are major items only. Decals are emblems are minor and not required to take up valuable shelf space for the 1 or 2 people that might need them 15 years later.
Emblems and stripes are also available at Classic Industries.

this would be true to an extent, how ever when i contacted chevrolet/gm a few years ago when they killed the camaro line they said that instead of keeping the camaro line they will instead make sure to keep plenty of parts onhand for restoration/ and to keep as many on the road as possible. for the camaro enthusists im seing the exact opposite.
now heres the kicker they have released the right for door decals so why not also make very rare rocker emblems?
Think about it! It's a rare item because many weren't produced to begin with. Why manufacture more items that only a few people will buy? Classic Industries and the others are producing the parts that they have a better chance of selling. GM/Chevrolet also will tell you what you want to hear. They are keeping plenty of items on hand, for the 4th gens. They will have plenty of major components available for 7 years or until 2009.
Again, why produce short order items? I have a 93 Indy Pace car. The interior was designed specifically for that car. Because of this, there is no inventory at GM. With only 645 cars produced with that interior, 675 interior sets, if that, were probably made. Why make more when the buyer base is made up of only 645 people? There were some spares made, but not enough to last forever and for everybody. Once inventory is gone, it's gone!!
