1986 Trans Am color
Has anyone ever seen a Trans Am the color of the one in the 86 Pontiac brochure? Its a gold color, I think its called chestnut something.

I think that is the Yellow Gold color, I am thinking of the chestnut color. They used it with the black and gold scheme as well as the white and gold scheme. The brochure car is solid chestnut with a stripe at the ground effects.

That is it there. The one in the brochure looks like that except for the recaros. Are those factory photos?

Have been searching more for info or photos. I have found factory photos in a book on firebirds. It was an 85 model. So far I have only come up with factory photos and the above mag. photos. Hard to find anything on the 85,86 models with this shade. Does anyone remember if there was one submitted in the member rides section on this site? Wish the site was fully functional again. This has to be the hardest color to find. Dark russet is close but can be found online.

I have only seen press photos so far, nothing of anything that somebody owns.
Here are the same two 85s as the ones you have. Now that I see the one you posted I know they are prototypes. Digital dash came out sometime during the 86 run, as I have always known.

There were 982 Chestnut Trans Ams in 1986, they all had Chestnut lower Ground effects.
