camaro door on a firebird

Hi , i got a 89 firebird and one of my buddies got 2 third gens camaros (both in pieces) a 85 berlinetta rusted (explitive removed) but with a functional V6 2.8 tpi and the other is a 86 iroc z without a motor ant trans is plan is to tranplant the heart of his 85 into the z . My firebird was once accidented by its original owner : he rubbed all the driver side of the car on a metal fence on I10 (in quebec) the second owner repaired the damaged door with some body filler and a full repaint (white to black) but the door's look still not great so i tought i could use my friend's 85 berlinetta door on my 89 bird . Cause the floor is too rusted but the door are not so bad but it's got a trim on the side it'll just leave holes on the side of the door but i will fill it with some putty . Anyway my question is: Is a camaro door will fit on a firebird .

Thank you

Yikes! I got pretty confused reading that mess, but ya the door will fit fine.

I think the inner door handles are different... aren't they?

The handles are the same. The doors are identical.

Then what was with the doors I bought once? Instead of having the standard Camaro square inner handles, it had kinda like a hockey stick for a inner handle...

Right, so wouldn't the Camaro door not fit? I thought that assembly was riveted on...?

Id like to see some pics of this handle you guys are talking about. I had a door off an 89 IROC on my old 82 Trans Am. Everything was identical.

You know... I just looked all over ebay and cardomain trying to find a Firebird with that handle... and I can't! Seems 82-88 used the exact Camaro plate and handle, and in 89-92 they used the same handle but went with a different plate.

Anyone with the little hockey stick handles please post pics so I know I'm not insane! I just recently junked the doors, so I can't get pix myself.
