GTA's with "Porsche" style mirrors
Just wondering if anyone has confirmed a production number for the cars with option DD9. I think that is the right code. I've heard that it was anywhere from I beleive 57 to somewhere in the 250's. I do know it was an '87 only option. Thanks.

Hopefully Frankie Rider II will let me use his quote from his GTA Source Page:
"I have seen two different numbers quoted as to the total number of cars built with the unusual mirrors: either fifty (50) or two hundred (200).

Mike, I certainly don't mind you using the figures from the Source Page.....
Jay, I'm trying to find out this right now in discussions with Pontiac, but no luck so far...... I'll post as soon as I find something out.

Thanks for the response guys. I've been to your page Frankie, which is great by the way. It was the only place that I've even heard any numbers. If you find out it would be greatly appreciated. By the way there is still at least 1 on the road!

Thanks GTA Jim!!! I've never seen those before and when people mentioned them I had no idea what they were talking about other than they were different.

I actually have a pair of those mirrors in my shop and was seriously considering using them on my Formula if I could find parts to make the passenger side mirror work. I also would need the thick black gasket or whatever it is to mount it properly.

Not better looking, per se..... but much more distinctive....
I think they're great.

I agree with Frankie. When I bought the car I never even noticed to tell the truth. It wasn't until I parked it next to my buddies that I noticed the difference.
