Anyone know what the part number is for the decals that go on the side windows that read "warning: vehicle engraved with traceable identification codes" They are about a 1" square and are red/black/white. Mine are all faded and i want to get new ones. Dealers in town are no help and tell me i need to get the number so they can look it up (i thought that was their job!). If someone has a parts book, i believe the decals should be listed under group 8.808 Thanks

You have a different sticker than I do. My 90 RS had white lettering on 1" x 4" sticker that read " Protected with a vehicle anti-theft system". When my passenger side window was replaced due to attempted break in, I asked them to remove the sticker and put it on the new window. They assured me they would. After, no sticker. I reminded them, so they searched for the sticker. They claimed it was discontinued. They gave me 2 new stickers which have red & black lettering which reads "Warning This vehicle is equipped with an electronic anti-theft device". It also says ATS and has the phone number (800)759-8541 on it. I haven't installed them and still would prefer the original sticker. Good luck, Lon.

Its part number 10080835 and its still available. I bought a set 2 weeks ago.

I have the 1x4" white window sticker too. My car has both that and the other 1" square sticker next to it. That 1x4 sticker was for cars with certain types of radios. I beleive the the sticker i'm looking for was only avail on 92s, since my 82-91 parts book has no mention of it. I replaced that 1x4 sticker, but still need that 1" sticker to bring back the factory look.

My GTA has the set pictured on both windows and also a matching set that says Protected With A Radio Anti-Theft System as well.....

Better be sure my cars are vaccinated, I guess.....

Just found out today from GM that the UT4 radio anti-theft stickers are "gone"...... So much for the idea of getting extras of those, I guess....

I just had my windows tinted a month ago, and it was with great uneasiness I tore those damn stickers off. I probably should have left them on, but I figured the tint would come out nicer with them off.

Its good to know the part #....I'll go order some new ones in case I wanna take the tint off someday!

The Part number for the sticker that says:
"PROTECTED WITH VEHICLE AND RADIO ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS" is 10098795.

I know this is an old thread. I have my original sitckers. I had to take them off to tint the windows slightly. I am considering having them reprinted but have to get a bunch done. would there be any interest? this is the VATS sticker. I have to look at them and tell you just what it says.. but it is on an 88 GTA, both side windows. How much they worth to you?

 

Check the dealer to make sure they're not available anymore before you have any made.

Personally I wouldn't be interested, I stocked up when they were still available.

 

Why would your '88 have a VATS sticker, when VATS didn't come out 'til '89?? '88s don't have chips on the keys...

At the same point, my '88 IROC has VATS stickers, but I thought it was because the previous owner put one of those 4 digit touchpad starter kill things in it, and wanted it to look factory. Maybe I'm wrong???

 

VATS was available on the GTA in 1988. Frankie's site shows 6,440 1988 GTAs (non-export) had VATS out of the 9,765 1988 GTAs from non-export production. All my 1988 GTAs had VATS.
