There were 6,360 replica pace cars built.
All had either CFI or LG4 V8. All had white letter tires,AM/FM stereo, leather wrapped steering wheel, lugage compartment trim,
blue cloth and silver vinly interior trim,
and "Conteur" drivers seat. Of course other options could be ordered but these were std equipment.

He's got the bases covered. One thing I wanted to add was showroom condition Pace cars with under 10k miles or so have been selling for about $10-12,000, while extremely rough ones go for about $1,500. Unfortunately, I haven't seen any in between in a long time.

cool, i'm going to look at the car and drive it tomorrow. from what i saw last tues., it had been repainted, the paint was decent, and the guy says its got a new 350 in it w/ like 8k miles. the only thing wrong with it i saw was that the a/c was cycling, so will have to convert to r134. also, the dashboard was cracked (can that be repaired/re-covered?), and i think the headliner might need replacing, not that that's a big issue, its got ttops =)
It's got new tires, brakes, and the interior looked good, except the driver's seat has a cover over it, the guy said was ripped, i haven't seen it yet tho. what would estimate worth, assuming suspension is still good when i drive it? thx

Well, if it has a 350 it isn't the original motor, so that certainly hurts value, especially with a rarer Fbody like a pace car. Add in a ripped seat, messed up headliner, cracked dash ($250 alone for a new one!), and I'd say around $5,000, depending on the mileage on the chassis. If it was mint with the 350, then I'd say 6-6,500. The biggest thing hurting that car is it's missing the original 305. But hey, if the body is good, I'd buy it! Its still a fairly rare Camaro.
Well, then this is getting better and better. I'm not really buying this car for the sake of having a "pace car" for whatever its value is worth, i'm just looking for a cheap, good body, v8 camaro, third gen. I went and looked at it, and it would start. LOL. the battery was dead. so when we charged it up, it still wouldn't start cause fuel pump wasn't activating. So, i'm gonna give the guy a week (he doesn't know jack about fixing the car) to sweat it, then gonna offer around 2000 for the body w/o it running. Hopefully, he'll bite, and i'll get a good car with just a little service required to figure out why the pump didn't want to come on =))))))) Other than that, its in pretty good shape, i'll enjoy driving it =)
