What is my color called??

My 1988 Sport Coupe has code 74U,
The WA code is WA9535.

Another thing that blows my mind is the RPO code for the wheel color is ...
16P : WHEEL COLOR, BRT WHITE
but my wheels are the original ones and they are silver

My 88 IROC has the same wheels and the same
RPO code, bright white. Mine too, are silver.
(A real nice silver after I re-painted them,
looked more like a dull grey before).

I don't know what to make of the "white" description, but I'm sure they were all that
way.

BTW my car is also 74U. I hate how people car it burgandy or maroon. Offically, I've seen it as Victory red or dark red.

Any pics of your car? We'd have a great race wait! My names Mike too! this is scary...

Scott, how long did it take you to find your IROC? Were you actively looking for one with such low miles or did you just have a stroke of good luck when you found this one? She's a beauty.

I was looking for a few months. I kept looking for an 88 or 89 because 90 had the airbag and yellow instrumentation. I found a 2300 mile 89 IROC in PA for $9k. The bone head decided to keep the car the week I was supposed to go get it. Since I got this info on a Friday, I stayed up late on Friday night looking for another low milaged car for low $$. I decided to include 87 in my search and found my car only 1.5 hours away. I called the guy in the morning, went to see it and bought it on the spot. I was unaware of the options on this car when I got it. I wanted the 350 with TTops was my main requirement. I got lucky as I didn't know this was the first year for leather, it had the 3.27 rear end and was fully loaded. The $21k window sticker was a shock when I got it at home. The seller was a 19 year old whose mother just passed away and it was her car. He said he was more into Hondas and imports so he wanted to get rid of the car for the money so he could soup up his *****!!
