I've never gotten an answer, so I'm gonna try again for the heck of it.

ASC McLaren conversions I believe are more well-known on the Mustang side of the fence, but I have one and it's definitely a Camaro. Wait a minute, let me look again just to be sure.... Yup, it's definitely a Camaro.

It has an IROC 305 TPI, 3.23 limited slip rear, 4-wheel discs, power everything, except no defroster because the glass rear window was replaced with a plastic one when the top was replaced, and the body stripes were never put back on when it was repainted... Also has Lear seats with power driver side. Has a 145mph speedo even though I'm told you couldn't get those in a 305 and seriously, I doubt anyone has upgraded anything in the car.

JZA,

Could be. There were lots of unusual things going on at the factory subcontractors' shops in the "golden years". As for the 145 speedo head, don't get too excited about that one, since my plain-Jane '86 TA has the same speedo and same 305 TPI.

All ASC did at their Livonia (MI) plant was chop the existing (metal) top and install all the strengthening components and finally added the Cambria cloth convertible top.
