How much would an average 91 B4C go for?

Just wondering if $6000 is a fair price for one. I haven't seen it, so can't offer any details. What kinds of prices did anybody who has a B4C pay for it (if you don't mind me asking)?

if its got a 350 i would pay that much for one, although I have no idea what it would actually be worth, it would be worth that for me.

That's kind of what I was thinking. If it has been used as an actual police car, it would be pretty worn out I think and so the price is too much. If it was special ordered though, it could be a different story. I'll give him a call this afternoon and see what I can find out.

What are the options on the car and mileage? That will control the price.

Haven't been able to get in touch with the guy yet. He knows what he's got though because the ad says both B4C and rare. Very good condition, the usual. I'm definately interested, especially if it has a 350. I would love to get that car. Could be tough to afford though. But hey, who better to have it than me, right? heh heh

On the top side of the scale...

I paid 10.2K for mine. Special ordered through the fremont, ca chief of police for sale at central chevy in fremont ca.

Pretty much fully loaded... power everything, black/grey cloth interior. 67k miles when I got it. Very well taken care of.

I do live in the silicon valley, so there is a bit of a mark up, but would buy it again at that price.

There were thirteen order through this dealership and a couple of months later another one went on sale. 73K miles for 10K.

Later.
John

Ok, I finally got in touch with the guy on the phone. It is a 350,automatic car that is currently in the shop for a fresh coat of paint (he is planning to sell before paint though, just bodywork done and in primer). It has 100K miles on it (or ninety thousand something) and supposedly the interior is in very good condition. He says that he is the second owner and has all documentation from himself and the origional owner, even down to gas fill ups and things. The bad news was that he works at night, so I didn't know when I would get a chance to see it. But get this....turns out he works in the same building that I do! So, he's gonna drive it to work later this week so I can check it out. I'm hoping to really be impressed. I just don't know if I can swing the $6000 asking price, being college guy and all. Said he could work with me, but don't know how much. You guys got any more imput? Sounds like it was ordered by the origional owner, so never saw cop car use. That's good as far as I'm concerned.

$6k is not that bad of a price. I would find out if the tranny has been replaced. That seems to be the weak link in the car. Is it fully loaded. If so, swing the cash somehow.
