Formula 350/manual
Formula 350/manual
I've been searching for over a year now for this combination:
1991-92 Firebird Formula 350 with a manual transmission.
All I ever find are 350s with automatics, or 305s with manuals. Did pontiac make a 350 with a manual transmission in those years? That is what i'm saving up to buy! I'd like to know if what i'm saving up for exists. I can't afford to swap a transmission...

Nope, 350's were only offered with automatics. The T-5 manuals were a little too weak to be used according to GM and they wouldn't give the nice, manual vette tranny to the f-bodies. Shoulda been an option though.

The only way you'll find a 350 + manual transmission is someone who did the swap, like I did.
Like soulbounder said, the T5 wasnt strong enough to handle the 350 engine.
