Well, i'm looking into buying my first third gen in the coming months, and i'd like to know something...

where is the RPO code list? If i remember correctly, it's behind a panel on the dash somewhere, but i would like to know exactly where, and how to easily get to it. I want to know, out of curiosity, if the car i end up getting has the 1LE option, though I know that is unlikely. First person to answer my question gets a cookie.

Car: 1991 Z28 1LE
Engine: 305
Transmission: 5 Speed
It could also be in the lockable compartment
in the drivers side of the trunk.

Car: 1990 Pontiac Trans Am

The earlier years have it in the center console, the later years have it in the locking storage compartment in the trunk. I think the switch year is 90 or 91.

91.5 roughly. Early 91's are in the console, late 91's are in the rear glove box.

Must be very early 1991, because mine was built in June 1990 and has the RPO sticker in the back.

When you consider how many 91's were built over the almost 2 year production run its not hard to believe. Of my 3 91's, only 1 has it in the console, the other two are in the trunk.
