I have a friend who is looking at an 83 Trans Am. It is an LG-4 with a 700-R4. It has rear drums. We are wondering if this car has the WS-6 suspension. Was it even around in 83? I am thinking no. Anyone know?

 

Yes WS6 was available in 83, my 83 (LG4 700-r4) has it. It included the performance suspension and rear disc brakes. WS7 had the same suspension as WS6 but included rear drums.

Yep, TADan is correct. I've got one myself, I think the rear disc brake cars are a little on the rare side for 83.
