there's nothing special about an IROC-Z28. All the 85-87 IROC's were "dual badge" as you call it. In my opinion, I don't feel as though the subframe connectors devalue the car.

If it's a super low mileage mint condition car that's a showcar and doesn't get driven, maybe sfc's are a bad idea.

However, if the car is driven on a regular basis, the subframe connectors will prevent frame twist and roof cracking, which will devalue a car far more than the SFC's.

My view is that SFC's are a good thing. I thought about it quite a bit before I drilled the holes in my Formula. What I eventually decided is that its better to have them and have the car not flex in the middle then to not have them then have to deal with the cracked worn body. Its not like they can't be removed and covered up by a good body shop.
My plan for the near future is to see if a metal shop can fabricate some SFC's like the stock SFC's used on the convertibles, since they don't stand out nearly at all, and don't reduce ground clearance. Unfortunately I'm not sure how I'm going to go about it since I dont really want to put my convertible on a lift.

I installed Spohn weld on SFC's on my "82 Z28 and they are virtually undetectable. It was a BIG improvement in in ride and body squeaks.

IMHO I think SFC increase the value of the car, it is a legitimate investment for an aging unibody, when I bought my GTA one of the first things I looked (wanting) for were SFC and I was actually looking for an unmolested vehicle! I think it proves you are responsible with the vehicle and committed to the structural integrity of the car. My GTA didn't have SFC so it looks like I'll have to get them myself. SFC should help resale, now NOS on the other hand, will annihilate it. Just my $.02.
