Need Help on history on 1992 formula 5.0 tpi.

I bought a 1992 firebird formula and it says I have a 5.0 TPI
Are theses rare? Everythings original, I need to know more info on this car.
Every car show I go to, everybody tells me that this is a rare car,

Please help me find out the facts to this car.

As a start, I can tell you that there were 1,017 Formulas made in '92, so yes, it is a fairly low-productions car. It's a given that now, fourteen years later, many of those have been destroyed in accidents or rusted to the ground, leaving much fewer than the original 1,017 in existence. I don't have a breakdown of how many came with which engine, though.

Ok, I remembered a recent post on this topic and checked it out. Here is the link:

Look a few posts down until you see okfoz and his breakdown of production numbers for the '92 Birds. Looks like there were only a bit more than 300 Formulas with the 305 TPI (LB9) motor.

Its an automatic, with a V8 305 TPI Motor, trans. Is a 350 turbo.... I think its a 4 speed. It has solid glass t-tops

Engine: 5.1L TPI, 5.0L TPI
Transmission: 700R4, M5
Axle/Gears: Sag 3.73, B&W 3.45
Trans is the 700R4 can also be called a 4L60, most people call it a 700R4 however.
