rust issue please help

rust issue please help

i have a 87 iroc camaro which is a t-top car it has alot of rust where the a pillar tops are heres a pic . the red boxes are where its rusted how would i fix this problem of mine? todays a rainy day so ill take some better pc tomorw but at least you can get an idea. the rust is pretty bad

any help is greatly apreshated

I would check out eastwoodco.com. They have pretty much anything you need for rust prevention or repair. I have used their Rust Encapsulator on rusted surfaces for years and have been very satisfied. And if you have any small rust holes you can patch them with their Metal to Metal. It's kind of like aluminum body filler. It's hard as a rock and really bonds to the metal your using it on. It can even be drilled and tapped. I had a 68 Charger with the rear window opening really rusted out in the bottom corners. I used Metal to Metal to basically build the sections that weren't there. It really depends on how big the hole(s) are and where it is on the car. Obviously, if you are rusted through very badly nothing but new metal welded in will suffice. I can't really see how bad your problem is, but maybe this will get you pointed in the right direction.
